Angolans with valid passports can travel to Rwanda without a visa.

A statement from the Rwanda Embassy in Angola indicates that the decision was taken on 24 October at a meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame.

The communiqué does not extend the length of stay in Rwandan territory, but clarifies that “the exemption covers all types of passports.”

The decision of the Rwandan authorities comes four months after the Angolan government has cleared the visa for Rwandans who want to travel to Angola for tourism purpose.

The decision is contained in Presidential Decree No. 150/18 of 19 June.

Cooperation relations between Angola and Rwanda are developed within the multilateral framework, mainly in the areas of peace, security and stability in the Great Lakes Region, the Economic Community of Central African States, as well as at the level of the African Union and of the United Nations as Member States of these International Organizations.
