Malagasy President holds Bilateral talks with Rwanda Senate President

Andry Rajoelina, President of the Republic of Madagascar has congratulated Bernard Makuza, the President of Rwanda Senate for joining him last week in his inauguration as President of Madagascar.

In a tweet, President Rajoelina added that “He and Makuza
discussed bilateral relations and I expressed my willingness to cooperate more with this country which is a true African success story. “

President Kagame was expected to attend the sworn in ceremony but due to tight schedule that he had in the weekend he manage to send Bernarnard Makuza to represent him, TOPAFRICANEWS has learnt.

However, President Rajoelina said that he is looking forwards to meeting President Kagame.

Rajoelina exchanged gifts with Bernard Makuza after bilateral talks.

Andry Nirina Rajoelina, 44, is a Malagasy businessman and politician, who was elected the president of Madagascar and sworn in last weekend. He started his career in the private sector, first organizing events on the Island, and then investing the advertising business and the media.
