Green Rwanda Delegation at the UN General Assembly (UNGA 74) – Monday 23 September 2019

This week, a delegation from Rwanda is attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York. With a strong focus on climate change this year’s summit will also include the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit. A delegation from the Environment and Natural Resources Sector led by Minister Biruta is in New York for the General Assembly and a number of other bilateral meetings and side events.

  • 8:00-9:30: NDC Partnership Event for Official launch of the Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP) at the United Nations Headquarters.

  • 8:00-9:30: WEF Sustainable Development Impact Summit – Raising the Ambition on Circular Economy at Convene.

  • 10:00-10:45: Climate Action Summit Opening Session

  • 12:00 – Bilateral Meeting with Sergio Costa, Italian Minister of the Environment and of the Protection of the Territory and of the Sea

  • 13:00 – Bilateral with the Irish Minister of Communications, Climate Action and Environment

  • 14:30-15:00 Climate Action Summit Press Conference, UN HQ
