Dates for President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Rwanda
French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to make a two-day visit in Kigali starting from Thursday, May 27 to May 28, 2021.
The visit will be his first visit to Rwanda and second visit of a French President since the genocide against the Tutsi.
According to IGIHE, some of the organizers of his visit to Rwanda, Macron will arrive in Kigali on May 27 and leave on May 28, which will be on Friday.
During his visit, his first visit to Rwanda Macron will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial at Gisozi and thereafter, he will proceed with the launch of the Francophone Cultural Center in Kigali.
It is not yet known whether President Macron will speak to the Media
The Francophone Cultural Center, to be opened by Macron, is a place near the Kigali Convention Center that is expected to host a variety of concerts and entertainment.
It provides young people with a way to learn the French language and Rwandan artists as a place to practice and develop their talents.
Macron visits Rwanda as the two countries embark on a new journey to reunite after 27 years since end of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
Also note that the visit comes after tangible direct investment from France public and private sectors.
