Rwanda: Israel Ambassador visits Kibeho Holy Land

Dr.Ron Adam, Ambassador  of Israel  to Rwanda was in Nyaruguru District on Thursday, 23rd December, 2021 to discuss with the District’s Leaders on potential areas of cooperation between the District andthe Embassy of Israel in Rwanda.

This website has learnt that the cooperation focus is on Tourism and Hospitality.

Officials in Nyaruguru said “It’s indeed a great honour and a pleasure to welcome Dr Ron Adam, the Ambassador and the team here at Nyaruguru District Office and at the Shrine of Our Lady of Kibeho Holy land”

Ambassador of Israel to Rwanda Dr.Ron Adam was quoted in a Tweet published on the District’s Twitter account saying: “We are looking for ways to cooperate with the District. We have many sectors that we can cooperate such as water, electricity, agriculture and especially tourism. We need some investments here and share our experience with this place”

Nyaruguru District is currently investing more effort in Religious tourism in close collaboration with the Catholic Church and the Government of Rwanda. This district is known for the reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ between 1981 and 1989.

During the visit in Nyaruguru, Ambassador Ron Adam also met with one of the girls who have witnessed the apparition of Holy Mary at that place. If Israel joins hands with Nyaruguru District in tourism there is certainly a lot of benefits since this country has experience in religious tourism.

Today Nyaruguru which is a rural agrarian community is branded with Kibeho Holy Land and Tea Industry. 

The community and leadership of Nyaruguru District expressed the gratitude and Acknowledgement of the support the Israel’Embassy gave to the community in Nyaruguru District

Through the Embassy, the district benefits from the training and other technical skills in the agricultural sector hence contributing in leading to Social – Economic Transformation for citizens.

Since the State of Israel is well known for pilgrimage, tourism, energy development and agriculture expertise, Nyaruguru District is also committed to developing mutual collaboration in the aforementioned sectors for shared benefits and this visit is a great opportunity for the district to discuss areas of investment opportunities.
