Rwanda and Morocco Kick off Defense Cooperation Talks

A delegation from Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence and Rwanda Defence Force led by Brigadier General Patrick Karuretwa, Director General of International Military Cooperation, is in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, from 18 to 22 January 2026 to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC) between Rwanda and Morocco.

The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between the Rwanda Defence Force and the Royal Armed Forces in areas of mutual interest, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation between the two countries in June 2025.
