President Kagame Convenes Strategic Diplomatic Meetings at Urugwiro Village

This week at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame engaged in several high-level diplomatic and strategic meetings aimed at addressing regional security, international cooperation, and technological advancement.

Focusing on regional stability, President Kagame met with Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, alongside Johan Borgstam, the EU Special Representative for the Great Lakes Region. Their discussions centered on the security situation in Eastern DRC, with a particular emphasis on ongoing international and continental efforts to address humanitarian needs in the area.

In a separate engagement concerning international relations, the President received U.S. Senator Steve Daines of Montana. The two leaders discussed strategies to strengthen cooperation between Rwanda and the United States, promote regional stability, and explore opportunities for expanding bilateral economic ties.

Additionally, President Kagame hosted a delegation to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the fields of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. This delegation included Lee Rosenberg, President Emeritus of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC); Saul Singer, author of Start-Up Nation and The Genius of Israel; and Wendy Singer, former Director of the AIPAC Israel Office.
