Tour du Rwanda 2026: First Rwandan rider wins Spiro motorcycle

Rwandan cyclist Muhoza Eric was awarded a motorcycle by Spiro Rwanda, one of this year’s official sponsors, following his impressive performance in Stage 6 of the Tour du Rwanda 2026.

Muhoza finished in 8th place during the 84km stage from Rubavu to Musanze. The stage was won by Israeli rider Einhorn Itamar (NSN Development Team), who clocked a time of 2 hours and 59 seconds.

Aside from Muhoza (Team Amani), the next highest-ranking Rwandan was Mugisha Moise (Benediction Banafrica), who finished in 10th place.

Spiro announced that the motorcycle will be officially registered in the winner’s name. Once the initial registration is complete, the winner retains the right to sell the vehicle if they choose.

Other conditions, including fees related to the battery swap system, spare parts, and servicing, will be applied in accordance with Spiro’s standard regulations.

Spiro Rwanda is among top official sponsors of the 2026 Tour du Rwanda, reinforcing the company’s commitment to clean mobility, innovation, and sustainable transport solutions across Rwanda and the African continent.

Throughout the race, Spiro provides electric motorcycles for operational and support teams, showcases battery-swapping technology, engages fans and communities on the benefits of electric mobility and promotes awareness of clean transportation solutions.

The 2026 Tour du Rwanda continues this Saturday with the seventh stage, a 147.2-kilometer route from Musanze to Kigali.
