RDF Launches Construction Of Ryabazira Bridge

The Governor of the Northern Province , Maurice Mugabowagahunde together with the RDF Reserve Force Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Alex Kagame and Deputy Regional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Prudence Ngendahimana, today officially launched the construction of the Ryabazira Bridge.

The project is being implemented under Defence and Security Citizen Outreach Programme 2026, which is currently taking place nationwide.

The bridge serves as a vital link connecting Rurambo Cell in Remera Sector of Musanze District to Cyabingo Sector in Gakenke District along the Kigali–Musanze main road and surrounding communities.

The reconstruction aims to restore safe and reliable connectivity, facilitate mobility, and support socio-economic activities for residents, particularly traders and farmers as well as students who use the nearby facilities and local Ryabazira Market
