Rwanda Signs Strategic Deal to Boost Sports and Tourism Investment

Rwanda has signed a strategic partnership with SportaaS, a company specializing in sports development and investment, in a move aimed at unlocking new opportunities in sports and tourism and attracting greater international investment.
The agreement was signed by Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Chief Executive Officer Jean-Guy Afrika and SportaaS Founder and CEO Derek Stewart.
The partnership seeks to maximize the economic potential of Rwanda’s growing sports sector by connecting investors with opportunities linked to sports infrastructure, events, and tourism-related projects.
The deal comes as Rwanda continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination for major international sporting events, which have helped showcase the country to global audiences while contributing to tourism growth and economic development.
The agreement also aligns with Rwanda’s broader strategy of leveraging sports as a catalyst for economic transformation, job creation, and international visibility.
Global interest in sports investment continues to grow, the partnership with SportaaS is expected to support Rwanda’s efforts to turn its sporting ambitions into long-term economic gains and expand opportunities for both local and international investors.
