Rwanda records seventh Covid-19 death
Rwanda on Sunday, August 9, recorded a Covid-19 death, becoming the seventh person to succumb to this pandemic since mid-March.
In the daily update on Covid-19, the Ministry of Health said that the deceased is a 77-year-old man.
“Condolences to the family of the 77-year-old man who passed away in Kigali,” reads the tweet.
According to the Director General of Rwanda Biomedical Centre, Dr Sabin Nsanzimana, the deceased had an underlying condition.
“In solidarity with the family who today lost their loved one due to COVID-19 & other underlying conditions,” said Nsanzimana in a tweet.
