Former Ambassador becomes Aegis Chair

| Jenny Ohlsson, Sweden’s former Ambassador to Rwanda, has taken over as Chair of the Aegis Trust’s Board of Trustees from business leader Peter Whittle, who held the role for the past three years. Interviewed at the Aegis Trust’s birthplace – the UK National Holocaust Centre – Ohlsson spoke about how honoured she was to take on the role. |
| “I actually heard about Aegis Trust more than 20 years ago,” she says. “This was connected to a project on Holocaust education for young people. I was working in the Prime Minister’s office in Sweden. We found this amazing small organisation, two brothers in England, doing phenomenal things on Holocaust education, so we decided to cooperate with them. And after that I was extremely happy to see that Aegis Trust was also working in Rwanda, where I was posted twice as a diplomat.” |
