HISP Rwanda Collaborates with Ministry of Public Health and UNICEF Madagascar to Enhance DHIS2 Capacity 

HISP Rwanda, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health of Madagascar and UNICEF Madagascar, is hosting a capacity building workshop for staff in Kigali focused on DHIS2: configuration and creation of metadata (aggregate/tracker), server administration. The training program will span over 4 weeks.

The workshop aims to bolster the ministry’s executives’ skills in DHIS2 metadata parameterization, server administration, visualization, and data analysis to enhance the routine health information system’s quality. The ultimate goal is to produce timely and tailored information to meet the health system’s needs effectively.

Specific objectives include strengthening the National team’s capacity in metadata configuration and best practices for customizing DHIS2 (Aggregated and Tracker data), enhancing skills in server administration and maintenance, and improving data analysis capabilities (reporting, completeness, timeliness, pivot tables, chart, map, etc.).
