Tragic Suicide of Young Teacher in Musanze District
27-year-old Harerimana Pascal, a former teacher at Mubago Primary School in Musanze District, tragically took his own life in the early hours of Wednesday, May 15, 2024, around 1:25 a.m. The incident occurred in the Muko sector, Cyogo Cell, Kabere Village.
The Mayor of Musanze District, Claudien NSENGIMANA, expressed shock at the news and stated that the reason behind Pascal’s decision to commit suicide remains unknown.
He mentioned that there were rumors suggesting that a girl had rejected him, but this has not been confirmed.
It was reported that Pascal had recently been in a relationship with a girl from Rubavu District and had confided in her about his intentions to end his life. Following his death, his body was taken to Ruhengeri Hospital for an autopsy.
The community is devastated by the loss of the young teacher and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to his tragic decision.
