Burera: Residents Celebrate Opening of New District Office
Residents of Burera District expressed their excitement and high expectations for the new District office during the official opening of the District’s Headquarters in Rusarabuye sector on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. The residents cheered as they toured the new building, which includes 60 rooms, executive offices, meeting rooms, and other facilities.
Anaclet, a resident of the District praised the new office building, stating, “The office we had was old and it was difficult to get the service, but now this new one is fully expanded so that they will help us quickly because the office of each manager is well prepared and we are very happy.” Another resident, Mukamwiza Jennette, emphasized the importance of utilizing the new building to provide better services and promote development in the area.
The Governor of the Northern Province, Mugabowagahunde Maurice, commended the administration and the people for their cooperation in bringing the new office building to fruition. He urged residents to maintain cleanliness, family harmony, and to avoid drug use.
In addition to the new office building, motorbikes were distributed to Executive Secretaries of 64 cells in different sectors of the districts. This initiative is expected to facilitate better service delivery by enabling officials to arrive at work on time and respond quickly to citizens’ needs.
The residents of Burera are hopeful that the new office building will not only enhance the aesthetics of their district but also serve as a catalyst for development and progress in the region.
