IntraHealth International to Close Down Activities in the Republic of Rwanda

IntraHealth International has announced that it will be closing its activities in the Republic of Rwanda by November 30, 2024, due to unforeseen circumstances. The organization has been operating in Rwanda for the past 25 years, partnering with the government and other health sector partners to strengthen the capacity of health providers and deliver quality integrated health services.

Over the past three years, IntraHealth International has been implementing the USAID-funded Momentum Safe Surgery in Family Planning and Obstetric Activity in 20 districts in Rwanda. This project aims to increase the capacity of local institutions to strengthen surgical safety within maternal health and family planning programs. The project will come to a close on November 30, 2024, along with the closure of IntraHealth International’s office in Rwanda.

Partners, collaborators, and the general public are advised to contact the Country Representative before October 31, 2024, for any outstanding or unresolved matters. IntraHealth International expresses gratitude to the government of Rwanda, partners, and communities for their support and partnership over the years.

The closure of IntraHealth International’s activities in Rwanda marks the end of an era of impactful healthcare initiatives in the country.
