Twelfth EDCTP Forum to be held in Kigali, Rwanda in June 2025
The Twelfth EDCTP Forum is set to take place from 15-20 June 2025 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda. Hosted by the Ministry of Health of Rwanda and the Rwanda Biomedical Centre, and jointly organised by Global Health EDCTP3 and the EDCTP Association, the theme for the 2025 Forum is “Better health through global research partnerships”.
The biennial EDCTP Forum has become a prominent conference focusing on clinical research and research capacity strengthening in sub-Saharan Africa, with global collaboration. The event alternates between Africa and Europe, with the Eleventh Forum held in France in 2023.
The Twelfth EDCTP Forum aims to showcase cutting-edge research and innovative interventions addressing infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. The programme includes plenary sessions, parallel sessions, workshops, and opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders from research institutions, universities, governments, and more.
The opening ceremony will take place on 15 June 2025, followed by three days of scientific programme from 16-18 June. The final two days will feature workshops, side meetings, and visits to research centres in Kigali on 19-20 June.
