Anchored in Hope: The Presentation of the 2025 Strenna in Kigali, Rwanda
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, the presentation of the Strenna of the Vicar of the Rector Major was held at the Don Bosco Hospitality Center in Kigali, Rwanda.
The event brought together the entire Salesian family in Rwanda, including Salesian priests from Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the latter being special guests at the gathering.
Also in attendance were representatives of former pupils of Don Bosco, Sisters of Mary Help of the Christians, young people, Association of Mary Help of Christians, and numerous Don Bosco volunteers.
This year’s event was unique as it marked the first presentation of the Strenna under the leadership of the Vicar of the Rector Major, following the recent ordination of Ángel Fernández Artime to Cardinal.
Father Stefano Martoglio took over as Vicar after the Rector Major stepped down to focus on other responsibilities assigned by Pope Francis.
