Kigali, Rwanda — SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda is nearing the completion of its new Environmental friendly facilities within the Kigali Green City Zone in Kinyinya sector, Gasabo district. This development aims to bolster support for vulnerable children and families across Rwanda.
The project is a result of a strong partnership with the Government of Rwanda, represented by the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB), and local developer Ultimate Developers Ltd. (UDL). These collaborative efforts highlight a shared commitment to social development and sustainable community growth.

During a visit from Senior Management, the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda emphasized to the construction team the importance of prioritizing child safety by creating a more child-friendly environment.
“Our mission is to build families for children in need and help them shape their own futures. We need to put our words into practice from their infrastructures,” stated Jean Bosco.
Upon completion, the new facilities are expected to offer improved housing, educational, and health services, providing a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in need. This initiative reinforces SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda’s mission to create loving, stable homes for vulnerable children.
The organization projects that the facilities will soon be operational, delivering renewed hope and vital support to communities in Kigali and surrounding areas.
