Kinshasa Kamikaze Drones Pound Minembwe, Kalingi

Inhabitants of Minembwe and Kalingi areas woke up to repeated drone strikes unleashed by the Congolese troops targeting rebel controlled territory.

“These drones, deployed by the Kinshasa regime, sow death and desolation: they destroy civilian homes, kill innocents, and dramatically worsen the already unbearable humanitarian crisis caused by Kinshasa’s repeated attacks,” said Lawrence Kanyuka the spokesperson for the rebels.

Kanyuka said that these blind attacks against civilians constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and demonstrate the total contempt of the Kinshasa regime for the lives of civilian populations.

“Faced with this barbarity, largely ignored by the international community, the AFC/M23 cannot remain silent,” Kanyuka said.
