A brand new distribution center for better service
SANY has been serving Africa for 22 years, since SANY’s first equipment was delivered to Morocco in 2002. In 2006, SANY’s South African team established a head office in Boksburg, then expanded its presence with branches to Middelburg, Rustenburg and Richards Bay in subsequent years. To ensure timely delivery of spare parts and offer better services, SANY launched a state-of-the-art parts distribution center in Olifantsfontein, Midrand, last November. The 20,000m2 distribution center will largely shorten the delivery cycle, meet various customer needs and increase spare parts stock from approximately R170 million to R270 million .
SANY has a comprehensive group of service providers for logistics and distribution coordination in the Southern African Development Community region, with a logistics team responsible for picking and shipping orders in timely, according to customers’ requirements. As a result, SANY prides itself on a fast delivery time in the region, with spare parts availability above 90% and a stable preparation rate of 100%. The availability of spare parts has a positive impact on customer service, particularly reducing downtime.
On 15 November 2023, the foundation stone for SANY South Africa’s head office was laid in Johannesburg . Once the project is completed, the base will be a regional manufacturing hub, logistics center and talent pool with an annual production capacity of more than 3,000 machines.
In a world experiencing climate change, decarbonization measures play a vital role in reducing emissions. The SANY South Africa team will discuss low carbon solutions with customers attending the event, highlighting the company’s determination to build a cleaner, greener and more sustainable world.
