RRA Shines at African Workers Championship
Dakar, Senegal — December 20, 2024: The Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) Women’s Volleyball Team continues its stellar performance in the ongoing African Workers Championship, securing a dominant 3-0 victory over GAMTEL/GAMCELL in a match held in Dakar, Senegal.
The championship, which began on December 19, 2024, has brought together top teams from across Africa, showcasing exceptional talent in various sports. Organized by the African Workers and Amateurs Sports Organization (OSTA), this annual event is a celebration of competitive spirit among workers who qualify at the national level.
RRA’s latest triumph follows their resounding success last year when they clinched the continental trophy. This year, after beating the City of Dakar, the team is determined to defend their title, with their next challenge against AFSA shaping up to be a thrilling encounter.
Rwanda is well-represented in the championship, with teams from RRA, CHUB, RMS, WASAC, and DGIE competing in football, volleyball, and basketball both men and women.
