Rwandans from different parts of Europe are in Brussells to show their support to President Paul Kagame of Rwanda who is in Belgium since yesterday to participate in the 12th edition of the European Development Days (EDD2018).

Topafricanews.com has received images taken this morning showing Rwandan community in Belgium warming up chanting Patriotic songs while Paul Kagame is expected to deliver remarks on the #EDD2018 theme: Women and Girls at the Forefront of Sustainable Development.”

According to Rwanda Express News Website Rwandan Community in Belgium vows “To mobilize to show our support for the achievements he has made at the helm of the country, the dignity he has given back to the Rwandan People and for his visionary Pan-Africanism!! .”

This Website is yet to establish whether President Paul Kagame will meet the Community, however last year also during the same event the President met them.

In many instances, President Kagame creates time within a busy schedule to meet Rwandan Diaspora when he travels for important meetings in America, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world.

During Last year’s Meet with the President, Kagame told them that despite living far away from their home country, Rwanda belongs to all of them including those back home. He asked them to protect Rwandan values.

“As Rwandans we have to believe in our own worth, and not expect to get this as a gift from someone else. People who do not value themselves cannot achieve development – we have seen this in the past in our country and on our continent,” the president said.
