Miss Rwanda 2022 tips FAWE Students on Saving Culture
Miss Rwanda 2022 Divine Nshuti Muheto has on Saturday, 26th March, visited FAWE Girls’ School and took the opportunity to talk to students about a variety of topics including having a saving culture as one of the ways that can help them solve some of the problems without always relying on parents.
The beauty queen paid a courtesy visit to her former secondary school, FAWE Girls School – Gahini in Kayonza District, to celebrate her crown with the school staff and students before she officially launched her project on promoting a savings culture among the youth.
On arrival, Miss Rwanda 2022 was welcomed by the Headmistress of Gahini FAWE Girls’ school Sr.Felecite Mukashema, the Dean of studies Placide Niyoyita, School Head Prefect Uwera Alice and the Information Prefect Gakuba Arlene Chelsea.
Accompanied by the Miss Rwanda team, Muheto interacted with the students on winning the crown, and how she wants to use the platform to encourage the younger generation to embrace a savings culture with the resources they have.
“I want to see saving become a culture to everyone and students are no exception because when you finish your studies, you won’t need to always ask your parents for everything anymore, especially if you start saving now,” said Miss Muheto while addressing Gahini FAWE Girls students.
Miss Muheto told Gahini FAWE Girls’ School students that she decided to launch her savings project from her former school as part of dedicating her crown to the institution that played a big part in her education. Muheto pursued Mathematics, Economics and Geography (MEG)
The headmistress congratulated Muheto on making the school proud by winning the Miss Rwanda crown and emphasised that her victory didn’t come as a surprise because she was an exemplary student during her days at the school.
“She was a kind and disciplined student who loved praying and studying, which I think, in addition to her beauty, helped her win the crown,” she said of Muheto.
Muheto, 19, was crowned Miss Rwanda 2022 beating first and second runners-up Maolithia Keza and Darina Kayumba.
