These facilities, known locally as “inzu z’ababyeyi,” are expected to play a transformative role in improving maternal healthcare by reducing delays that have long affected expectant mothers.

Another mother, Anne Marie MUSANABERA, emphasized the relief the new development brings: “This is a big step for us as women. Staying close to a health facility before delivery will help prevent complications caused by arriving late. It will truly change our lives.”
