Democratic Green Party’s Vision: Organic Fertilizer Factories in Rwanda’s North

During his  campaign rallies in Northern Province, Dr. Frank Habineza, the presidential candidate for the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR), promised to support Burera and Musanze residents by helping them access affordable organic fertilizer factories if he wins the election.

The DGPR conducted campaigning in Cyanika Sector in Burera and Busogo Sector in Musanze, with Dr. Habineza and his deputy candidates receiving positive feedback from residents in both districts.

Jean Claude Ntezimana, the party’s secretary general and campaign manager, announced that Green Party activists are actively campaigning for presidential candidate Frank Habineza.

Following their success in winning two seats in the previous parliamentary elections, the party is now focused on securing more deputies in Parliament.

Dr. Frank Habineza, the Green Party’s chairperson and presidential candidate, expressed his joy in campaigning in the area near the volcanoes, which is a well-known destination for both Rwandans and tourists.

He informed the residents that most of them are engaged in agriculture but struggle to obtain organic fertilizer.

He said, “We have a plan that aims to address issues with fertilizer supply and timely delivery for over 90% of Rwandan farmers, focusing on organic fertilizer and establishing a regional factory with available resources.”

He suggested avoiding foreign fertilizers and instead creating local fertilizers at a low cost, allowing people to perform composting and save on imported materials.

Frank Habineza expressed his readiness to assist residents in livestock farming development and assist tourism students in finding employment opportunities.

Particularly, he promised the residents of Byangabo to construct a new market to replace their current one.
