Residents of Gakenke District Promise to Re-elect Paul Kagame as Head of State
During a campaign rally on July 11, 2024, at Nyarutovu Site in Gakenke District, residents from Gakenke, Burera, and Rulindo districts expressed their support for Chairman of the RPF Inkotanyi, Paul Kagame, promising to elect him as Head of State on July 15. Kagame, in return, vowed to return and celebrate the victory with them.
Over 200 thousand people attended the rally, coming from various neighboring districts such as Rulindo, Musanze, Gicumbi, and Burera. This marked the 13th day of Kagame’s campaign since June 22, during which he visited multiple districts across the country.
The residents at the Nyarutovu Site praised Kagame for the development initiatives he has brought to their communities and expressed their readiness to re-elect him. In his address, Kagame emphasized the RPF’s commitment to the development and well-being of Rwandans, urging voters to choose wisely.
Kagame also encouraged the people of Rulindo, Gakenke, and Burera to consider the country’s history and vote for the RPF. He expressed confidence in his re-election and promised to return to the region to celebrate with them.
Kagame stated his intention to return for a celebratory dinner and enjoy the local produce such as coffee, tea, and pineapples with the residents.
