Election Fever in Kamonyi: Dr. Frank Habineza Woos Voters with Promises of Progress
The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR), on Sunday, June 23, 2024, continued its presidential and legislative campaign in the Runda Sector, Kamonyi District.
The party chairperson and presidential candidate, Dr. Frank Habineza, was welcomed by a large crowd with applause upon his arrival.
Jean Claude NTEZIMANA, the party’s general secretary, reiterated the party’s main lines and achievements in the manifesto, aiming to benefit the Rwandan population.
The party manifesto includes measures such as an increase in teachers’ salaries and a reduction in property taxes from 300 Frw/m2 to 80 Frw/m2.
“Vote Frank Habineza for your well-being and development,” NTEZIMANA said.
Dr. Frank HABINEZA, accompanied by his family, addressed the Kamonyi population and pledged to tackle challenges for the Rwandan population, particularly in the Runda sector once elected.
He said, “We Plan to implement technological methods in mining, remove 30-day temporary imprisonment, demand compensation for innocent individuals who have been jailed, and implement agrarian reform for food self-sufficiency, ensuring citizens can eat three times a day.”
He pledged to eradicate unemployment by creating 5,000 jobs annually, particularly for youth, to address the country’s pressing unemployment issue.
Habineza added that the DGPR will continue to work towards promoting development and uplifting the welfare of all Rwandans, including women, youth, and our communities at large, to achieve comprehensive progress and development goals for all Rwandans for the next five years (2024-2029).
Dr. Frank Habineza in the 2017 elections also competed as a presidential candidate representing the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR), where he was voted by 32,701 Rwandans, equal to 0.48%.
Rwandans are set to cast their votes for the President and deputies from July 15 to 16, 2024.
